What are the Eindexamens?
The Eindexamens (Dutch final exams) are the national examinations taken by secondary school students in the Netherlands. Over 200,000 students sit these exams annually across three levels: vmbo, havo, and vwo. The exams are set by the College voor Toetsen en Examens (CvTE) and combined with school exams to determine whether students graduate.
Eindexamens 2026 Schedule
The 2026 Eindexamens are scheduled in three periods:
- First period: May 8 - May 27, 2026
- Second period (retakes): June 2026
- Third period (exceptions): July 2026
